rrfield- I see you mention that you have an Amptron MB in what you call your 'main machine.' I happen to like them. I am currently running two older computers with that manufacturer and never had a stitch of problem. Very easy BIOS upgrades as well. I wish this new machine I am working on had their latest MB, but maybe that'll be another project down the road.
Anyone else have experienced Amptron MB's?

Well, I just had a go at posting it with a FSB of 135MHz, just to get the hang of the BIOS. It was a piece of cake, so I am pleased with that. I think I might just leave it at stock speed for a while though, as my GF2MX is a big bottleneck, so it might not be worth it. That is, unless I want to start crushing you all at Genome@home

Another piece of equipment that I picked up that impressed me was the HP 5400C Scanjet! This thing cranks compared to my old scanner.

If your motherboard doesn't support running the ram at a different speed than the bus, then your ram is running at PC66, aka 15ns, aka half the speed of PC133 (duh? )

I found out the RAM is either PC100 or PC133 but is only running at PC66

I also forgot to mention that I have a Microsoft Explorer Intellimouse but my keyboard and speakers are just the HP ones that come with the computer.
