My computer quit running Genome again :( My power supply keeps resetting itself when at high load. :cry2:
 
Yeah my 1.2 tbird resets, locks, or restarts, when trying to run it.
It works fine otherwise.
I don't know if it's the PS, mem CPU, or mobo.:confused:
I think it's the cpu, or mobo though.

I'm thinking about trying Linux on it.:p
 
In my case it's the power supply. When it gets too hot in the room, the PSU gets too hot to handle the load.
 
Cat, I'm guessing power supply. If that baby is right on the line, running it at load may be pushing it over the edge. Phantom reboots mean PS in about 70% of the cases I see. If it's locking more than rebooting, what kinda temps are you getting on that CPU?
 
50-60C on the cpu
about 40c on the mobo.
I've tried 2 differant power supplies.:confused:
tyied diff mem, hd, video card.
That mobo is the one I got from wetling that he said overheated.
I'm guessing the northbridge is just weak.
 
Oops, sorry, I'm really tied up on weekends with the YBC tournament (then doubles starts 2 weeks after that's over) for a while. I'll do an update later tonight, and I'll try to figure out when I can be on regularly to do them, I'll try for Friday nights starting next week (I just want Saturday afternoons to *yawn* rest right now).

i gotta figure out if theres a tweak or something, i got 6 gigahertz dedicated to running full time.

Well I had to cut back some.
My power bill was over 400 this month.
I think I can still get 1500-2000 WUs a week though.

We're still movin' up.;)

I'd have a cow. Mine is under $150 during the summer with the A/C going 24/7 (or so it seems)

it usually runns about $300 here.
2 big heat pumps
2 hot water heaters , and another parttime.
Chest type deep freezer
2 refrigerators
All kinds of lights and ceiling fans
...

All those comps seemed to make about a $100

:( I still can't get a consistent time to do updates, I'm sorry. When I get a better setup (hopefully in a month or so), I hope to be online at least twice as much, but I'm just not ready at the moment.
 
so pad did you quit doing the G@H ? just curious havent seen any updates.
