The Unreal Tournament 2004 official demo includes five playable game modes, and offers fans their first taste of Unreal Tournament 2004’s two new game modes: the introduction of the hyper-charged Onslaught mode and the return of the fan-favorite Assault mode, which last appeared in the original Unreal Tournament. The demo also features established gametypes like Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and Bombing Run.

Actually the specs aren't so bad:

Operating System: Windows® 98/Me/2000/XP

Doubt it will run well on this pos p3-450 though...

The specs are the same of UT 2003. It runs fine on my 800Mhz Duron. I doubt I will give it an eye tough since I got pretty disapointed with UT 2003...

It's supposed to be a lot better than 2k3; I'll probably buy it to tide me over to HL2/D3.

Huge, while the minimum requirements might not be bad, remember that Prof is the guy whose best machine zips along at a speedy 400 MHz.

I was a big fan of the original UT. UT2003 was barely worth even trying as it wasn't really fun at all.

As for UT2004, its one of my favorite games I've ever played. Takes all the aspects that were great in UT, like Assult, AI auto adjustment, mod, and now with 2004 they added tons more that I find great. Like Onslaught, new weapons, over 100 maps, and of course vehicles.

I rarely play or buy games as there are very few that iterest me. Half Life was the last game I had interest in and bought. UT2004 is tons of fun, esspecially if you enjoyed the original UT.

Don't use UT2003 as a comparison as to how UT2004 is because they aren't really anything alike when playing.

I agree with that assessment; UT2k3 didn't do much for me (especially since it got rid of Assault). I *still* haven't tried the demo yet, but since the full game should be in stores on Thursday, I'll go pick it up.

Got my copy in my hands now.
Special editon has a tin cover, note that this is only like a cover not an actualy box. You can slid the thing right off the actual box. Also included was one of these http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/CA/EN,CRID=103,CONTENTID=6339
The last bonus was the extra DVD which contains tutorials on Unreal Scriptingm Weapon designm static meshes, vehcile design, mutators, maya fundamentals, and character developement.

hmmm i reinstalled 2k3 a couple weeks ago to get in the mood. tell me how it is guys, if thumbs up im heading out to the store. :)
