One thing I would like to add is how to change the source path for your setup directory. I always try to copy the cab files from the cdrom to the hard drive, say c:\windows\options\cabs and then edit the registry:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Setup/SourcePath
Enter the directory here so Winders dosen't ask you for the disk all the time.
