About 20 supporters wanting to get even closer to the president are paying $10,000 each to attend a private party at the Kahala Mandarin Hotel. Their donations go to the Hawaii Republican Party...

The president will stop by the Kahala Mandarin party for about 30 minutes to chat with the big donors.

Bush was already in California raising money. He came to Fresno for a $2,000-a-plate luncheon, and he toured the Ruiz Foods plant in Dinuba (about a half-hour to 45-minute drive southeast of here). He also did some fundraising in southern California.
