seti slow

I was wondering how long is it taking you guys to process a unit from seti? I'm averaging right at 30 hours. Man it seems really slow. help...

Well I fired up my stock-pile & I'm getting ~3hrs @1.5 Ghz.. although this is with 3.0 which isn't valid anymore..

check this thread for some other results.. as of today..

back when I did SETI, it took about 4.5 hours to do a work unit at 1.4 ghz (3.0.3)

What client are you using?

If you're using the graphical client, I highly recommend getting the command-line client because there is absolutely NO use for the pretty colors that the graphical client draws.

You should be able to do those work units in 5-6 hours with that T-bird 1.2

Yea im using the graphical one. i did configue it different this morning so i will look tonight and see the changes.

Dude, configuring the crap out of the graphical client still won't get you as low time as CLI would

Use seti driver and a CLI client. Much nicer.
