OK the settings worked when I installed the win 2000 pro BUt the sound will not come thru. Here is the "manual" from the cd can you figure this out now? It has a spot on the cd to go for win 2000 drivers but nothing under them?

The audio application program - ALSRACK
=========================================
In Win3.1 mode, you can run SETUP.EXE to install sound drivers
and get the ALSRACK.
In Win95/98 system, you must install sound drivers well then you
can run SETUP.EXE to get ALSRACK. Running SETUP.EXE could only get
ALSRACK, it could not be used to install sound drivers.

Oh Happy Day Oh Happy Day when I finally got it right when I got it right it was such a nice nice nice day.

Thnx I got it and now even have a new OS as I am going to keep the win 2000 pro and see how I like it as I heard it is more stable anyway. Thnx Thnx thnx BD happy BD

This explains why the creative drivers were most likely not working. What sound chip is it that is on your motherboard anyway?

Please don't ask me as if it happens again it goes in the trash and I buy a mobo and sound card that are not cheapo's which was my trouble in the first place cuz I was trying to cut to many corners $$ wise. Live and learn and learn some more with the help of your friends.
