Now, that was interesting...

My athy classic normally does 2-3 units over a 24 hour period, depending on the AA size. I transmit each night (usually).

Last night, it had over 20 genes ready and waiting. WHOA!

So, I sat there to see the length of the gene it had been working on. 12 AA's! Anyone seen one smaller?

I used to have a 23aa on a K6 233... I stopped doing genome on it since it was just a hassle to keep switching the modem in and out to be able to upload from my Duron

I'm currently goring the following sized genes on my 2 main computers:

99aa, 85aa (t-bird)
72aa (duron)

Well, they said on the newsgroup that they were gonna start mixing up the gene lengths, and they weren't screwing arouund. I've seen the 12 AA, one in the 30', one in the 40's, one in the 50's, 60's, and 90's all in this past week.

I don't think I've ever had one smaller than 56AA. I sure could use a 12... or a 20, or 30, or even 40.

8AAs aren't all that uncommon either.. although I haven't actually seen anything for a while since I haven't been monitoring the fleet...
