New Doom3 Q&A

meh, I've watched the newest video and its just not that impressive as it once was. With things like Far Cry, Half Life 2, UT2004 using new graphics technology, the age of the Doom 3 production is really starting to show.
I'll play it at some point when it comes out, but I'm not going to be really excited about it.

I wouldn't underestimate Carmack; the guy is a human compiler. I still don't understand why they didn't release a test demo though...

Doom was great when I was in high school, but I guess my expectations have increased. I still like the shoot everything type games (Serious Sam, Will Rock) but if they don't have the looks or atmosphere, then its just a waste of time.
At the time of Doom, it was pretty original and looked really nice in comparison to its predesesor, Wolfenstein.
