He spoke before the US Senate today and he told ole Dubya off. This guy is to be taken seriously though with a small grain of salt. He will be the next PM of Israel, again, is an Israeli by birth & American educated. He's frequently on the assorted cable news channels & is worth a listen.

"If we do not shut down the terror factories that Arafat is hosting — those terror factories that are producing human bombs — it is only a matter of time before suicide bombers will terrorize your cities here in America," Netanyahu told members of the Senate.

"If not destroyed, this madness will strike in your buses, in your supermarkets, in your pizza parlors, in your cafes."

"I think what the U.S. probably seeks right now ... is an extended cease-fire so they can get on the job of finishing Saddam Hussein before he acquires atomic bombs, a notable and important goal worthy of support without a doubt. But it cannot be achieved by sacrificing these principles that are at the core, the heart of this effort," Netanyahu said.

in response to out estemmed Secretary of State Colin "I'm not a wimp, really" Powell
But Netanyahu, who called Arafat a terrorist, doubted such a meeting could yield results.

"I don't think any meeting with Arafat will produce anything. His word is worthless, his signature is worthless, he's violated every single line of every single item of every single provision of every single contract he's signed with us.

"He has ruled himself out and as soon as he is taken out of the areas ... the better."

Disagreeing with international calls for Israel's withdrawal, Netanyahu, 52, said the operation must continue. He called President Bush "as great a friend of Israel as any president in the history of American-Israel relations" but disagreed with his call for a withdrawal "without delay."

"I would hope that Israel complete the job, as it must, as any democracy faced with this kind of horror must do," Netanyahu said

from Tuesday
Speaking to American Jewish leaders in New York, Netanyahu said Europe should be "ashamed" of some on the continent who compared Israel's tactics to those of Nazi Germany.

that is in response to the Socialist Europeans
Tens of thousands of Europeans have joined marches against Israel's offensive and to express solidarity with the Palestinians

what the hell are they thinking?

They're afraid that the muslims they permitted into their countries will start problems if they openly support Israel, so they let them (the muslims) do as they please.

Europeans, because their countries are so close together, have always tried to avoid war at almost any cost. Every time there IS a war in Europe, the map changes. What they fail to realize is that the reason the maps change and the wars start is BECAUSE of their appeasement policies. It has happened all through the history of Europe, and it will happen again. The only question is when.

Arafat Statement Condemns Terrorism
Sat Apr 13, 9:25 AM ET
By HADEEL WAHDAN, Associated Press Writer

RAMALLAH, West Bank - Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat on Saturday expressed his "deep condemnation" of terrorism and a Jerusalem suicide bombing the day before, in a statement apparently intended to satisfy U.S. demands.

Secretary of State Colin Powell, who is visiting Israel, has said he would not meet Arafat until the Palestinian leader condemns terrorism and Friday's bombing, which killed six people in a crowded outdoor market.

"We are condemning strongly all the attacks which are targeting civilians from both sides and especially the attack that took place against Israeli citizens yesterday in Jerusalem," the statement, in Arabic, said.

there is, however, a caveat to this
Arafat also criticized Israel's two-week offensive in the West Bank, which has involved fierce battles with Palestinians in the northern cities of Jenin and Nablus
