Nah, I've seen a manual-tranny car operated before. To me, that's like driving while talking on a cell phone. You have to distract yourself for like 3 seconds to remember when you're supposed to shift up/down, remember what combination of switching to use, and actually do it (now, was that "right, back, back to the left, forward, right, under, over" or "left, forward, pivot, U-turn, inverse Z, bash the damn gear shift for being so damn confusing?")

Nah, you get used to it and it becomes second nature. Besides, if you do shift it wrong, the car will protest. Loudly. :D

I used to worry about coordination between pressing the clutch with your left foot while balancing it with acceleration with your right foot while shifting with your right hand while steering with your left hand. But it really wasn't an issue once I got used to it.
