They just beat the Mariners 2-1 in a series. They are solid, hitting and pitching, and I'd lay money that it'll be another Yankee world series. The pathetic part is its all because they buy championships in New York (for the most part the only people I know of who will argue against this fact are Yankee fans). I am so damn sick of it. For that matter the Mariners, who are at least the second best team in baseball (better this year than last) spend a lot more than most competitors. Baseball needs a salary cap in the worst way! We'll never see smaller markets compete until we restructure the payroll like the NFL did. I'm ready to stop watching baseball because it makes me sick....well....almost!
