Not sure of the english name. Aura that increases offensive. I've got it over + 100%, and I've got +90 and +110 rings.

Zeal is a skill that allows fast attack of multiple close targets. Check this skill calculator for english names: www.d2skills.com
They show on the same interface as the game displays. You know you can use a combat skill along with an aura right? Assign the Combat skill to your left mouse button and an Aura to the Right button slot.

If you run out of mana, it will make a normal attack instead. Not every skill works this way, but Zeal does. Pumping to level 4, you get 5 multiple attacks, the maximum. After that it just adds to damage. After level 30 use Zeal coupled with Fanaticism aura for increased Speed,Damage and Attack rating...

What's the difference between a sword and a knife?

No, seriously. I was asked today by the hellspawn and to my shock I found that I have absolutely no idea.

The exception to that, of course, is the throwing knife. A knife with the blade heavier is usually a dagger. The exception to that, of course, are specialised chef's knives (chef's knife, cleaver, etc) which take their form from the Axe family.

Swords have one of two functions. To stab, or to slash. The rapier, foil and broadsword were used to stab. They're evolved from the spear family of weapons (which itself evolved from little more than a dagger tied to the end of a staff). The Bastard sword, Long sword, Two-handed sword, Cutlass, Falchion, Claymore, etc were more specialized axe heads on absurdly short handles. Meant for slashing and chopping. While all swords (for the most part) had both points and edges, stabbing swords lacked the weight to penetrate anything heavier than a linen shirt, and slashing swords were too damn heavy to stab with effectively. Curved swords like the cutlass and scimtar were even worse, as their point usually wasn't even in line with the centre of mass in the first place.

Slashing swords had their weight put more towards the point. Specially the heavier ones, made to break armors
