I checked out CNN site, but it only has about 3 sentences, no speculation as to the cause of the crash. :(

*edit* CNN is getting totally hammered, I can't even get the site to load now.

at OCN I read its a Boeing A300 airbus and according to Boeings website, it has a capacity of 266 passengers.

Updates-according to the FCC it was an Airbus A-300, not a 767-thanks Q & it had 256 passengers aboard. An eyewitness says the engine fell off(similar to thecrash in Chicago a few years ago)--unlikey terrorism-

I'm glad I can't see it from where I am. But I don't like the timing of this unless it is a total accident (which it now sounds like).

Guilianni(sic?) closed the tunnels & bridges as a precaution-"for an hour or two", to see if this is just an accident. The airspace is closed & there are patrols flying around the city.

It's too soon to speculate on the cause. Sometimes plane crashes can take weeks or months to find out the reason.
