ATI Graphics Card Chosen to Boost Graphics Capabilities of Business PCs
MARKHAM, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 19, 2002--Customers buying IBM NetVista series PCs for business use will be pleased that their new system comes standard with ATI's RADEON(TM) 7000 graphics card.

Graphics capabilities are becoming more and more important in the workplace. Activities that are considered commonplace in many offices will be accelerated and enhanced by the RADEON 7000.

Users will appreciate the excellent video image quality when they are watching news clips to stay on top of their competitor's movements; watching a web cast of their company's annual shareholder meeting or watching the stock ticker as it streams across their screen. Users will also be pleased by the high-resolution 2D graphics abilities when they are preparing or viewing presentations on their computers; preparing charts and graphs for inclusion in a report or simply reading text on their screen.

``These days high-performance graphics are a requirement, not an option,'' says Rick Bergman, Senior Vice President of Marketing, ATI Technologies Inc. ``The combination of the RADEON 7000 and NetVista A series and M series systems will meet the needs of workers now and as their needs grow and change.''

The RADEON 7000 with its 64 MB of SDR memory, HYPER Z(TM) technology, a memory bandwidth saving technology and PIXEL TAPESTRY(TM), ATI's 3D rendering engine, will add to performance capabilities of the graphics card and the system as a whole.
