I'd upgraded to XP to get hyperthreading support for my P4 processor, which 2000 lacked. Otherwise, I'd still be using 2000. There's no similar reason for me to upgrade to Vista. Niftier looks aren't enough of a reason.

That's kind of annoying that the only way to get a name off the loan is to pay it off (via trade-in or otherwise). Unless the co-borrower didn't want to consent to have her name taken off of it...

So I'm supposed to believe that no one in any town I would possibly drive to would randomly want to steal my identity, but once they fire up Internet Explorer they would instantly become identity thieves? I think that particular instance of paranoia is "rampant," not "insufficient."

The GUI looks a hell of a lot like the Mac I use at work... if I had my spare PC up and ready to use instead of sitting in a closet, I'd probably give it a try.
