For monitors the .25 dot thingy, the lower the number the better?

What is good? .25?

Are there other things to look for aswell? What would that be?

The way I understand it, DP stands for Dot Pitch, which is the amount of space between pixels. So, yes, the lower the better. You may want to think about getting a flat screen CRT, as this reduces glare and improves the image.

The Viewsonic PerfectFlat™ series is a good choice, IMO. The last system I built had a PF790 on it, and I was impressed.
