What is the best cell phone to get?

e.g. one that won't break every time you turn around, one that's not a 10-step process to answer a call :rolleyes: and one that's just generally a nice all-around cell phone.

re: the actual phone, it's a crap shoot-they're all ok, with subtle differences. Nokia is a decent low-end phone.

BUT, make sure you're get a digital phone. The analog are vulnerable to idiots & their scanners. very easy to track calls.

Yes, digital phone is much better,

however, IMH, its the provider that will cause more trouble.
For instance, #1 provider might have better reception in this area, but #2 provider might have better reception in other areas. The phone itself is pretty important, just don't forget to get a good provider too.'

I am currently using an Ericsson T39 world phone, tri-band 900/1800/1900 using Voicestream. In Chicago, Voicestream provide the best reception, however, when i go outside of chicago. Other companies i.e At&T have better reception.
