Wassssup with tha Gainward GF2 Ti 450....?

Hey all,

Just bought a GeForce2 Ti 450 by Gainward. Hope it's a good card, I have heard good things about it. I'm hoping that this will be a better card than my GF4 MX440 64MB DDR (which I have been disapointed by).

Got it for $85 on NewEgg.

They had a GeForce2 Ti 450 TV and a GeForce2 Ti 450 (no-TV).

I bought the no-TV one. I don't use TV out/in stuff at all.

What is the deal with the Ti 450? I thought that with the GeForce 2 it was just a "Ti". Is the Ti 450 better than a regular GeForce 2 Ti?

I'm a graphics card Newbie :D

I bet you, before I go look for it on google, that it has something to do with they've increased the memory speed to 450 (225mhz)...

I'm gonna go look for a review about it, I'll report back in a few minutes :smash:

I looked around.............google included.........and didn't find much......

If you do.........that'd be just Jim Dandy:lol:

It's basically a different naming scheme. The chipset is your typical run of the mill Geforce2 at 250mhz, paired up with some 4.5ns memory, which is a guarantee for 222mhz (444 DDR) operation, which explains the Ti/450 name. Apparently they claim the memory can do 500mhz.
