Video conferencing

Im going to be setting it up here at work in the next few weeks.
Anyone else mess with it?

Only for a bit at IU, but I wasn't using h.323 (is this the protocol you will be using?), it was a proprietary system set up by Ameritech going analog over fiber connections.

We are looking into it here at work too, I would be very interested in hearing what problems/successes you have.

well i just ordered 3 isdn lines for it. it will do both isdn and ip to ip. we will be ale to host 3 calls at ounce. the hardware is polycom. ill know more in a few more days.

OH man i love all the new toys, this stuff is only gonna be used about 22 hours a month. Ill post the new specs for a server redisgn im working on in another thread.

Why 3 isdn lines? why not a fragmented T1?

fragmented t1 requires special conditioning for it to work properly.
and the price shoot up past the cost of the isdn's.
