So far my Radeon 8500 has been a very good card! The image quality is superb, and DVD playback is excellent. Anything with this Radeon 8500 chip should perform well.

so which one do you think one should buy?

1)Asus V8200/T2 GeForce3 Ti200 Pure 64MB
2)Point of View GeForce3 Ti200 128MB TV-out
3) Hercules ATI Radeon 8500LE 64MB TV-out

they are all roughly in the same price range. Other cards, like GF4 MX, GF4 TI-series, or ATI R8500 aren't interesting since they cost more than the ones mentioned in the list (except the GF4 MX).

I actually bought the leadtek gf3 ti 200
when it comes down to it. they are all the same chipset just different goodies to go with it.
cept when going to a ATI then its a new chipset and driver set.

i'd wait now. gf3 is getting old, and ati and powervr are expected to make releases soon. (prices going down on 8500 then, and powervr always has a moderate price)
