That's the problem with Star Office. It's a resource hog. siag is pretty damn good and so is KOffice. AbiWord is a very slick word processor. siag is a pretty good spreadsheet program too.

Do you need to enter some registration code or something like previous versions did?

No. There is a registration process, but you can skip it.
