The camera I got connects tot he PC through a USB post. The way it works is Windows sees the device as a mass storage device and ceates a drive which you can browse, write to and delete from. Within Linux and 2000, I can diconnect and reconnect the device no problem. Under XP however, the OS wants to reboot as soon as I either connect or disconnect the device. I dont get a choice, it just reboots. Solution?

Mind you that I am not getting any kind of an error on the reboot. Liike whether or not Windows was shut down incorrectly. It just reboots and I can view the device. Unplug it and Windows reboots again.

I thought about that so I disconnected my USB webcam and mouse. Still getting the same result though.
