Knowing Abit's products to be very solid, easy to set up, and a joy to tweak, I would go for the KG7.

You may hear of Asus boards giving better performance, that is probably because they always overclock the processor by a small fraction, which is evident in a lot of WCPUID screenshots on Asus motherboards - there is a review at Tomshardware of the new Duron core and there is a screenshot of WCPUID. Look at the FSB and the processor frequency - 8 mhz above the 1ghz the processor was marked at. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with overclocking. :) I just personally don't like my processors overclocked without my consent. :smash:

i'd probably plump for the abit or the asus. i know they're more expensive but they have a reputation for quality.

the epox has a good rep and might be worth a hard look.

the gig boards i know little about - most amd rigs i've seen and heard of have been based on the abit, asus, epox and iwill boards.
