Intel's P4 with SDRAM

The pentium 4 will probably choke in performance on SDRAM.

The way the processor was designed is that it's optimized for slightly high latency in exchange for huge data transfer rates through the memory. This is kind of why RDRAM on a P3 wasn't all that spectacular, compared to RDRAM on a P4, because the P3 was designed around SDRAM

(at least, that's what I've read a few times around the web. Anyone can feel free to correct me if I'm dead wrong)

In short, if I ever get a P4 (no way I'm buying, though), I would rather have one with RDRAM
