How Many Of You Have A Problem Sleeping™

Just curious but am I the only one here who has a problem sleeping at night?

I wake up almost every morning at 9:00 and go to the office and do whatever it is I have to do. I get home a little after lunch and am fighting to stay awake until about 3:00 in the afternoon. At 3:00 I all of a sudden have a little bit of energy and go do my afternooon runs. By the time 6:00 comes, I'm dying keeping my eyes open until dinner comes at 8:00. After dinner, I really want to go to sleep so I take another shower and hit the sack... I toss and turn for about an hour and then finally give up.

From 11:00 at night until about 6:00 in the morning I am on the computer doing all my bring home work... sleeping just in time before the sun comes up and then waking again at about 9:00 to start a terribly tiring day.

Am I the only one with this problem?

Your Nightmare
try taking a small nap when your really tired and feeling like it is hard to stay awake.

When you get up and start using the computer you place too many items going on in your mind hince keeping you awake.

Try listening to some waterfall type music softly. I know it may not be your favorite but hearing something repeatively will usually place you in a deep sleep before long!

Speak of the devil; I was up until 4am this morning and I overslept (if you can call 3 hours of sleep 'oversleeping').

Once I lie down, I sleep like a baby. I don't think I ever had a sleeping problem in my life. I never relied on an alarm to wake me up on different hours.

I think I can live with about 4 hours of sleep. But since I got a government job, I can sleep a hour more. Usually I keep a decent diet, with beer and lots of vitamins.

Toolbox-
Have you checked your diet? Taking lots of vitamins and eating high nutritient foods can give your more energy to stay up and regulate your on/off hours. Also taking B complex can sooth your nerves if you have trouble calming down to sleep. On days that I don't work out or sit in front of the comp all day, physically I feel restless. Which makes it harder to sleep. Usually some meditation and yoga like excercises help ease my nerves.

Once in a month, I cud not sleep the whole nite--mind is wide awake and I don't know why? maybe I still have some flashback during my work days (6-month shifting) in a Semicon company. :(

I get a solid 8 or 9 hours in and I'm still tired all damn day. I take a thermos of coffee with me and it's gone by lunch. My problem is staying awake. Right now I'm yawnin' big time.

In San Francisco, if you go see a doctor and seriously describe your condition, you can ask for medicinal marijuana.

Tell me who don't feel good after smoking a joint. :D
