Got my DDR

But the board, while having an option for me to set it to 166, doesn't take effect. Sandra says it's still at 133.

Soltek SL-75DRV5

I just freshly reinstalled 2k without having to reformat (woohoo! :headbang: ), so I'll give the overclocking another shot when I have the chance, but if that doesn't go through, I'm going to have to find some way to get the memory to run at 166 at least.

It could be the cooling, so I'm gonna go pick up a better heatsink some time after I get that UPS.

Fury, are you trying to swap your FSB with the DIP swirches, or the BIOS settings? Whichever you're doing, try the other. :D

Tech support from a Taiwan-based company? Heheheheh... long shot is an understatement.

Justintime told me that the instability is caused by the fact that my DDR is in fact running at 166 and I just got fooled by Sandra. No wonder it was so unstable when I set it to go CAS2.

I'm gonna go set it to 133 and see if I can overclock then. :headbang:

OMFG! I DID IT!

I OVERCLOCKED IT! WHOOOOO :headbang:

146mhz FSB, making for a 1.7 ghz clock speed. Alright! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

The memory does about 2250/2150 on Sandra. I'll do another bench in a while.

I got 4461 3dmarks in 3dmark2001SE! :headbang:
