For those who have trouble cleaning out their hard drives

I did that to my 6.8 gig WD drive once. It works like a charm

(Seriously.)

Why not just soak the thing in a bucket of soapy water overnight? Same result, saves time.

WHAT!?!?...... And leave a soapy film on the disc's?... Shame. Shame.. Homelan:D

Here's an easier way-leave the side off your case & occasionally spray it will really overpriced canned air:laugh:

I ruined a perfectly good toothbrush on that thing and now my drive makes hic-up noises. Where did I go wrong?

I used sandpaper be-cause I was out of floss. I didn't think it mattered.

It matters! The tutorial was quite specific about using the proper floss....no wonder your drive is acting up.:eh:

Would spray paint or wood filler get it back to normal?

I've heard that silly putty & "pam" work real well:eek2:

That was in case any of the screws wouldn't go back in place or if you needed to make one fit.

A minimum requirement is to have all parts spray painted with a passionate shade of purple.
