Flourescent Multi-layer media technology - 100 gigs on CD-sized discs

Check this stuff out! CD-sized (120mm) discs holding up to 20-100 gigabytes of data with transfer speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second, credit-card sized media with 50mm discs holding up to 5 gigabytes... I wonder when it will be ready for mass production

You know, we're getting pretty damn close to having a Star Trek-like future, there is one episode of TNG that I am reminded of that had a partially translucent block holding the memory of a hologram program inside it (It was that one that Moriarity(sp?) took his wife on an imaginary shuttle) that probably used a technology close to that flourescent memory.
