Driveway-how much?

Does anyone know what it would cost to put in an asphalt or blacktop driveway? About 70' long & 7-8 feet wide.
 
that's why I'm asking-no $$$$$$$ just $ & very little of that


it's currently dirt/stone(mostly dirt) if it matters...
 
gonz, just load up one of the trucks with some concrete from up the road. :D :D
 
Not sure about asphalt, but 8 years ago I had a fiberglass reinforced concrete extension poured for $800. It angles out from my existing driveway and stops just past the front corner of the house and is more than enough to park a full size truck on. Two days ago my neighbor had his driveway extended in the same manner except his goes all the way down the side of his house for $1600. I will probably extend mine down the length of the side of my house sometime this summer. :)

Just guessing, 70' x 8' = $3000-$4000

I'm pretty sure asphalt is more expensive than concrete :(
 
thanks pad-everything I've seen until that was $10-$20 sqft which seemed outrageous.
 
For $10-20.00 sf you could have marble in your driveway.
Concrete goes by the cf. I'm guesing asphalt does too.
Are they pouring concrete down the road?
Form up your driveway, let them dump the excess from the trucks as a foundation. You'll need expansion joints, but the asphalt can fill them.
 
If it wasn't so damn far and I wasn't in the middle of a dreadful side job I would.
 
Actually, concrete goes by the yard...now that I think about it.
