A warning about possible new problems over the weekend from the Code Red worm
came and went with little disruption on the Internet.

we've been getting hammered here at the UWC by codered all week!

the network is apparently the second largest in the Uk, behind BT or something [dubious i know]. according to info sent to users out internt connectivity is down because we are getting pinged 73,000 times a day as a result of codered.

the firewall is being given extra bandwidth to keep up and everyone suffers.

Its anoying that now I have to pay for the attacks to my server by the default.ida ... consumes 100mb of trainsfier per day.
