It has to do with threads you've started and how many replies and views they've each gotten. The chart of how it's calculated is in Feedback somewhere... Ah, here it is!

Hmm, anyone wanna make it worth my while for me to do the back karma stats again under this new format? I can get the data on an overnight since I'm almost always the only one here so I won't have any possible crossovers and it may take a few days to compile it (one for SE alone), the only thing that could be lost would be if old threads suddenly got dug up and got enough new posts/views to bump it into a higher level. If I were to do it, it would certainly not be this week, but if the price is right, I'll get it done before September 7th!
