My theory is, if you're starting up a home network and have two PCs to link up, eventually you're going to want to add a third, or foruth, or whatever, so you might as well grab a four-port hub and just use that from the beginning. :) This means that I haven't ever tried cross-over networking...

I think it's shocking that network speeds are still that slow. Gigabit ethernets should be standard by now.

Regardless of the system that it's on, and how stable or quick it may be, XP w/Office XP will always be slower than 2K w/Office 2K so I see no reason to use XP. Besides which, Matrox gives me all the eye-candy I need.. ;)

There's a debug script I got from glussier about a year ago ahen I was trying to get rid of NT from a drive. Worked great; I'll try and find it if people think they'd be interested..

What's intriguing about that is that in 300 years' time, we may well have figured evreything out and then it WILL be a universe where we don't need a creator... :D
