When does cricket, rugby, and footie season start up? I have no decent overall resources from which to follow it with. I used to have a few links from prof, but those bookmarks went down in flames when the old HD died. I need links again! ...and to know who is hot and who is not.

Yeah, the World Cup is every four years, for both men and women. The women's seems to come one year after the men's.

The US has its own major-league soccer, but I'm not sure how interested you'd be in that.
