That is, except the people that live in my city, because the phone company and cable company are too lazy to start rolling the big fat joint of high speed internet service
 
It has just become available in my area within the last year. I tried to get DSL a few months ago from bellsouth...... they sent me all the stuff and I could never get it to work, so I sent it back to them. :thdown:
 
I've heard nothing but good things about DSL-IF you can get it installed, which seems to be a losing proposition. So, almost welcome to the cable tier-you will love iy & wonder how you ever survived 56k(or less)-best test, d/l the latest browser of you choice & get mad when it takes longer to install than it does to download. :beerchug:

Wrong, Chuckles. I can't get DSL or cable at my house. I am stuck on 56k for eternity.

That's sure the way it feels. Both BellSouth and the cable company have been saying it'll be available within a year for 2 years now. :rolleyes:
 
I wouldn't be so quick to jump on the band wagon as soon as it's available. I've heard alot of people in my area complain about the service for both cable and DSL. It will probably take them a while to come up to speed because so many people want it NOW.

BTW - 10 minutes after I ordered cable, my cable went out for about 20 minutes.....maybe they were changing some settings for my service or something, but I almost called and cancelled it. I refuse to pay more for crappy service, but I figure with a 30 day money back garauntee, at least I have some time to try-before-you-buy.
 
I have gotten various results, but this was the best so far from toast.com, server in Atlanta.
