Yeah, he's back, but I just saw on the news on tv that he is donating his salary for this season to the relief in NY. That's what they said on the local news station here.

Seems so. This is from the Washington Post:

Jordan has signed a two-year contract with a starting salary of $1 million – the league minimum for players with 10-years experience. Jordan, who will be the 12th highest-paid player on the team, plans to donate his first year's salary to the victims of the Sept. 11 terrorists' attacks in New York and Washington, D.C.
