CHICAGO (AP) - St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Darryl Kile was found dead in the team hotel Saturday, a spokesman for the Chicago medical examiner's office confirmed.

The spokesman, who declined to give her name, did not provide information about the cause of death.

The Cardinals' game against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field was canceled.

CHICAGO (AP) - St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Darryl Kile likely died from a blocked coronary artery, the Cook County medical examiner said Sunday.

Dr. Edmund Donoghue said initial findings of an autopsy showed Kile had "80-to-90 percent narrowing of two of the three branches of the coronary artery." He said the blockage was the "likely cause of death."

He was a lucky man in a way. He had a good life and people that cared. He lived to be at the top of his chosen profession. What more could a guy want?

So this healthy, athletic guy, in the prime of his life, died of something that they're telling us is caused by being overweight, and lazy.

Anyone still trust their doctor?
