JAKARTA - Businessman Mahfudz Djaelani wants the 200 million rupiah (S$42,000) in bribes he says he gave to over 40 city councillors returned to him, after they failed to elect him as the next governor of Jakarta.
If they fail to do so, he intends to reveal their names.
He said he was certain that he would win last Wednesday's election as he had already reached an agreement with 44 councillors from various factions in city legislature, but he now claims he was 'outbribed'. [/quoteurl]
