Welcome to Serial ATA. Been reading about this. You can also check out the home page for the standard in development, SerialATA.org. A few more years and we should start seeing this as a pretty common standard.

After Serial ATA gets their act together, the drive manufacturers will come out with another new SCSI standard (according to yesterday's Blues/sCary's news blurb).
