Let’s face it; most of us don’t have the time or sometimes the expertise to do our own lighted fan mods, especially when it calls for breaking open a power supply. Well now, there is an answer from one of the best known names in case and power supplies. Antec brings us their TrueBlue 480 watt power supply and blue led fans today, watch as we size them up against the competition.

If you thought that having a lighted fan mod in your case was difficult, then you’ll be happy to know that installation of Antec’s LED fans are just as easy as the power supply's installation. Fan grills come pre-attached, and four screws are provided to attach each fan to the case. The screws do have to remove some plastic to go in properly, and I advise using an electric screwdriver or drill to put the screws in with enough force to drive them straight. Installation with a manual screwdriver can also be achieved, but an electrical alternative makes the work a lot quicker and easier. Once installed, simply connect the 4-pin connector to the TrueBlue power supplies’ “Fan Only” speed controlled connectors and again connect the 2-pin monitoring cables to the motherboard’s chassis fan monitoring connectors. Now, you should have a perfectly radiant blue fan mod installed in minutes without any soldering or complicated procedures; this gets a 1 out of 5 hammer rating for difficulty, as no indepth knowledge or use of tools were employed.
