A truly sad day

John Lee Hooker, one of the best bluesmen EVER, died. To all you ignorant pups-he wrote many of the old RnR songs(that weren't Carl Perkins) & never made a dime nor saw his name in the credits/liner notes. It is truly a sad day in music-06/21/01

I was never a blues guy. I should download some of his tunes and see what he is about.

I like the Blues. I saw BB King in 1985 at FarmAid. It's too bad that I never heard much of John Lee Hooker. He was one of the greats from what people have said on radio talk shows in the past.

as is usual, the best artists aren't widely recognized while mediocrity & PR gets rich.
